Family Law arrangements

You may become a member of First State Super through a Family Law arrangement.

This may occur where the Trustee receives instructions by way of an agreement between the parties to a marriage or by Court Order that a superannuation benefit of your spouse is to be split on marriage breakdown.

Generally you may become a member of First State Super by completing the Member Application form at the back of the Personal Division Product Disclosure Statement and the required amount can then be transferred into your new account in First State Super.

You may also:

  • apply for insurance cover (cover is subject to acceptance by the Insurer), and
  • request that your employer contributions (including salary sacrifice) be sent to First State Super.

You can make personal contributions or transfer benefits in from other superannuation funds.
